| Description: The "White Lady" (lower right, all pictures) is not a "lady", certainly not a "she", and is definitely not "white". Henri Breuil (Abbe Breuil) promulgated this misleading interpretation. Breuil believed that the image was a Minoan or Phoenician (see middle picture). He visited and copied images of Namibian rock art sites in 1947, 1948, and 1950. Harald Pager (1923-1985) documented Brandberg rock art sites for over 7 years until his untimely death in 1985. The detailed copy by Harald Pager (bottom picture) shows that the "White Lady" has a penis and carries a bow and arrow. Above the "White Lady" is an antelope with human hind legs, a trance image. |
